Practice Schedule & Registration Information

JKA practice is held at the following times and locations:

Jakarta Japan School (JJS) 
09.00 ~ 12.00, Sunday
Jalan Elang Bintaro Jaya Sektor IX - Perigi Lama
Jakarta

Sari Pan Pacific Hotel (Clark Hatch Gym) - Shodan and Above (others request permission from sensei)
20.00 ~ 21.30, Wednesday & 14.00 ~ 16.00,  Saturday
Jalan M.H. Thamrin No. 6, Jakarta, JK 10340 (next to Skyline Building)

Registration Info:
Dojo Jakarta Japanese School Bintaro
Every Sunday, from 09.00-12.00
Ask JKA Officer (Secretary-Treasury) for Membership Application Form
 
New Intake for Beginners level (registration open twice a year):
  • 1st registration: May to June – class starts in earl July.
  • 2nd registration: Nov to Dec – class starts in early January.
Interested person who wish to join, must be registered before or at the latest on the first day of practice.

Registration is closed after the first day of practice. Late applicants are qualified to apply for next intake 6 months later.

Requirements:
  1. Complete and sign Jakarta Kendo Association Membership Application Form;
  2. Complete and sign medical release form (requires your doctor's signature - kendo is very physically demanding)
  3. Submit one passport photograph;
  4. Submit a copy of identification card/KTP/passport;
  5. Payment of fees:
o        Registration Rp.150.000,- (+) Annual Fee Rp.600.000,-           
o        Fee can be divided quarterly (3 monthly) for easier payment (January, April, July, October)
  • All fees must be paid to the Jakarta Kendo Association before taking full-time training at the latest on the second day of practice.
