Pada tanggal 20 - 21 Maret 2010, Jakarta akan kedatangan tamu para Sensei dari Jepang lagi.
Kali ini yang akan berkunjung adalah Sensei dari Mitsubishi Corporation Dojo, Jepang.
Jumlah Sensei yang hadir sekitar 30 orang, termasuk Irie Sensei, Dan 8.
Jadwal latihan dengan para Sensei tersebut adalah sebagai berikut :
Hari & tanggal: Sabtu, 20 Maret 2010
Lokasi: Kyudokan Dojo, Puncak
Waktu: Jam 9:00 - 12:00 siang
(Karena ruangan sangat terbatas, maka latihan ini dikhususkan bagi yang telah memakai bogu. Para senior sangat diharapkan untuk datang)
Hari & tangal: Minggu, 21 Maret 2010
Lokasi: JJS Dojo, Bintaro Jaya
Waktu: Jam 9:00 - 12:00 siang
(Semua anggota JKA sangat diharapkan untuk datang dan datang TEPAT WAKTU)
Setelah latihan akan diadakan acara makan siang di JJS.
Bagi anggota yang berminat mengikuti acara latihan di Kyudokan Puncak, diharapkan mendaftarkan diri ke saudara Teguh Rianto (rianto.teguh@yahoo.com).

If you are interested in learning kendo, please come to JJS (Jakarta Japan School) on January 10, 2010 to register.
Anyone is welcome to participate and get a chance to find out what kendo is all about.
Dojo address and starting times are on the main page.
Please try to consider just one thing if you decide to learn kendo - your time; we require that you come to the dojo every Sunday for the first 6 months minimum. If you feel that you are unable to commit regularly at this time, please consider to join when you have the time. Kendo requires a lot of commitment from the instructors and the students. It is unfair for sensei to be at the dojo and to have to continually repeat instruction because of students that do not show up and cannot make the commitment to train. It is also unfair to fellow students that come regularly. Sensei and fellow students are at the dojo voluntarily, on their own time...please consider this.

As I have already told to Mr. Marcel , we will hold the 2nd Grading test of this year at JJS on 13th of Dec (Sunday). I'm sorry not to inform you earlier.
Please distribute this e-mail to JKA members and read the attached file(Grading test procedure) and please gather the participants's infomation of Bandung, Jogja, Surabaya, Malang, Medan friends.
Please fulfill the attached Execl file of participants list, and submit me by 7th of Dec.

We recently had some very distinguished guests come visit us (6/7 November 2009) from Japan, Thailand, Singapore, and the USA and all that can be said is that this was a very rare opportunity that JKA members will not soon forget. Amongst the distinguished guests that visited the JJS dojo on Sunday, 7 November 2009, were:
Iizuka-sensei 8-dan
Mochizuki-sensei 8-dan
Takigawa-sensei 8-dan
Koyama-sensei 8-dan
Imanishi-sensei who made the very long trip from Seattle's Cascade Kendo Kai dojo
Tanimura-sensei from Thailand Kendo
And of course our good friends from Singapore Kendo - yeah, you know who you are
We also would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Meguro-sensei for the opening of his new dojo in Puncak, Kyudokan Dojo.
Thank you sensei for arranging this rare visit and opportunity for us and making last weekend (6/7 November 2009) a very fun filled Kendo weekend.
